No shit Sherlock!

I used to go to the theatre, buy books, wait for the new Carnegie prize winner to be announced, wait for the Booker/Pulitzer prize winner to be announced and rush out and buy/read the shortlist. I used to go to the cinema............... blah, self pitying blah! I can live without those things and by the fact that I am alive, I can actually live with out them. However! I am happy to pay my TV licence fee! Because I get things like THIS
If you haven't seen the BBC's version of 'Sherlock' get yourself to the i-player as it is worth a click. It's dark, brooding, menacing, comedic, clever, meta-Conan-Doyle and pays homage to the London Tourist Board but it is pure genius. The BBC have even set up a fanzine website HERE . There has been little on TV for years that has quite fired me up to click the on button since THAT Gene Hunt slapped us about with his kid skin gloves. This TV programme alone is worth my hundred quid or so a year for! If you're not lucky enough to live on my wee island, then I'm sure you can watch this on the BBC website somewhere as it is fantastic! Here's the LINK to the i-player. Enjoy!
