Fashion For A Cause Wrap Up

Well it's all over now. The beautiful dresses have been returned, the auction items have been sold, and the ballroom has been cleared. There are no more meetings, or running around like crazy finishing up all the errands, or waking up in the night to write something down on my to do list.

The result?

Absolute Success!!!!! YaY!!!

My first ever fashion show (well at least from the planning side) has come off beautifully! I learned so much through trial and error, doing things like walking out a runway in my living room to figure out timing, to using lots of spreadsheets to cross reference what shoes were going on what models with what jewellery and what clothes, and how long each change would be, and millions of other little details.

Luckily you can't see in the photos the effects of working a full time job, in addition to another at least 40 hours of fashion show stuff in week leading up to it. Put that together with lack of sleep, stressing like crazy, and not eating normal meals, and you can understand some of the incredible amount of work that goes into pulling off a fashion show. I have a newfound respect for anyone who does this for a living...

Check out their website www.fashion-for-a-cause.org, or their facebook page www.facebook.com/FashionForACause for more info on the event, and how you can get involved with this great charity!
