60's style: Inspired by Bridgett Bardot

I love the style of the 60s. The big bouffant hair, the mod little miniskirts, the slim cigarette pants, and the effortless cool look of the cat eye. When I think of that era I think of sexy Bond girls like Ursula Anderson, and sultry movie starlets like Raquel Welch. But my favorite star and one of my top style icons has to be Bridget Bardot.

Brigitte Anne-Marie Bardot was born in France in 1934. She started young as a ballet dancer, then moved to modeling, then her picture was given to a screenwriter who immediately gave her an audtion, and the rest is history. She had 4 husbands and starred in 47 films, tons of stage shows, and recorded 80 songs before retiring to become an animal activist.

She is a truly well rounded woman, one who could match wits with politicians, musicians, artists, all the while keeping her balance and maintaining her focus on the things that were important to her in life.  Her status as an icon in the world of art and beauty is unquestionable.
