Confession: I didn't watch the Golden Globes this year. In my defense, I do live in Australia where it usually isn't even broadcast on TV, or if it is, it plays at 3am or something stupid. (Gotta love the time difference).
But honestly, who actually watches the whole long boring show anyways? At most I usually watch the red carpet arrivals, and then keep it on in the background while I make dinner or something. Then I look up the list of who won on the internet later on, so I can participate in the water cooler conversations at work the next day.
So this year, I just decided that a combination of website red carpet pictures and YouTube highlights would do me just fine. Check out The Daily Beast for highlight reels like this sweet one of Natalie Portman's speech
With no further ado, may I present my favorite red carpet looks:
Sandra Bullock was hands down my favorite. The hair, the dress, the color, the sparkly cuff, it was just perfection. How is it possible that she just keeps getting better with age?
I loved the shape and texture of Christina Aguilera's dress, it stays true to her pinup girl image. well played.
You can't go past Natalie Portman's ensemble, which is what everyone seems to be talking about. She looks sweet and pretty and it perfectly enhances that cute little baby bump.
I actually quite liked the lines on this one, the cap sleeves along with the dramatic train is just fantastic and interesting on Eva Longoria.
And last but not least, Anne Hathaway. Now I didn't particularly enjoy this dress until I saw the back, and then I loved it. Thanks Big Fashion Big Style for the image.
What were your favorites?
