Autumn/Winter Trends

I am so looking forward to autumn and winter. Yes I know its still pretty warm here in Australia and especially on the Gold Coast, but I can't help but look longingly at the beautiful boots and jackets that are slowly creeping their way into the shop windows. And as my husband can tell you, I'm a sucker for shoes and jackets and anything for keeping warm and stylish in the cooler months. I blame it on growing up in Colorado, you know, with all that snow..

So here are a few items of the top items on my shopping hit list:

Lace up ankle boots. Tough, yet glamorous, and channeling the aviator look.

Feather shoulder pad to funk up a great black jacket, white tank top and jeans or little black dress:

Floppy felted 70s style wool hat. Found the perfect one at Sportsgirl, and lingered around admiring it long enough for the shopgirls to give me the evil eye.

Mulberry inspired bag. I am so obsessed with the shape at the moment, plus they are so practical

Pretty pattern tights inspired by Chanel

Black lace dress. Pretty, sexy and always in style.

70s style wide leg jeans. Anything 70's inspired is on the top of my list this season.

Maxi skirts, I love the idea of wearing it with tailored pieces and with jackets for winter

Wedge cheetah round toe shoes from Wittner. I can just see them with thick black tights and a sweet little dress under a chunky cardigan.

Big chunky scarves. Perfect for layering and adding texture to any outfit.

Copper nail polish. For something a little bit grown up but still sparkly.

In looking over this list, I'm getting excited, time to hit the shops for some beautiful new pieces.!
