- Out for dinner with her mum. I wonder what she's snickering about. Perhaps she's as baffled by her dress + suit blazer + brown purse combo as I am. (Which is a shame, because I think the dress has potential.)

Week in Review: Princess Letizia, 10-16 July
Here's what Letizia wore from 10-16 July:
- Audiences at Zarzuela Palace and a luncheon for the President of Panama, 11 July. Was it National M.C. Hammer week in Spain?
- At the Culture National Awards, 12 July. WAS IT? This is not at all legit, and should be quit immediately.
- Visiting Montserrat Abbey, 14 July. I'm checking...I'm checking...okay, not a trace of Hammer.
- At the AIJEC 25th Anniversary Gala, 14 July. I just still can't believe she busted out my 2 least favorite pairs of trousers and wore them back to back. I care not about the rest of the week. (And there you have the fundamental problem with the Hammer pants.)
- Attending graduation at the naval academy, 16 July. Oh, except that she did it again. I don't get it.

Week in Review: Crown Princess Mette-Marit, 3-9 July
Here's what Mette-Marit wore from 3-9 July:
- Leaving Monaco, 3 July.
- Attending the White Fairy Tale Love Ball, 6 July. I don't mind this Valentino at all, but it usually leaves me thinking that it just needs to be worked a little harder, if you know what I mean.

Week in Review: The Duchess of Cambridge, 3 July - 9 July, Part 4
We last left off with William and Kate departing Canada for Los Angeles, and now we return for some royal Hollywood fun:
Photos: Just Jared/Net-a-porter/XclusivePix/Daily Mail/Polyvore/Matches/Lionel Hahn/PA
1. Arriving in Los Angeles, 8 July, a) on Kate, and b) from Roksanda Ilincic, worn with peach-ish shoes and her LK Bennett clutch.
2. Attending a reception, 8 July, a) and b) on Kate, and c) the front, d) the back of the dress from Diane von Furstenberg, carrying a leopard print clutch by DVF and in nude shoes.
The lavender...please. You know I love it. Shape, interest, perfection. (Everybody's calling it blue or blue/gray? Looks lavender as originally reported to me!) The green...that's a different story. I should love it, given how I always stand by the sidelines with my rainbow pom-poms in hand, rooting for some color. But I really really don't. DVF dresses are supposed to be magical curve-creating machines, but this one looks like an oversized sweatshirt re-cut into a dress.
3. Polo for their charitable foundation at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club, 9 July, a) on Kate, b) from Jenny Packham, c) a close up on the hand-painted dress design, d) new shoes from LK Bennett, the Sliver shoe.
Wasn't sure how I felt about the general sleeve area, but I'm going with: LOVE IT. And not just because of the dress, but because of the way they blew through the red carpet (so awesomely un-Hollywood) and because of Polo Wills, which is right up there with Cowboy Wills in my affections. And hey: the LK Bennett Sledge shoes have been given a much-needed rest! New nude heels, and - sit down for this one - no pantyhose. (As we all breathe a collective sigh of relief that she's not an open-toe stockings-wearer.) I also love it because, when asked what she was wearing, Kate said: "I'm sure you know by now." See, I told you I like my Kate a little bit sassy.4. a) At the BAFTA Brits to Watch event, 9 July, with b) earrings borrowed from the Queen, c) Jimmy Choo shoes and d) a diamond bracelet and Jimmy Choo clutch.
It really is a very pretty dress. It's lilac, and it's McQueen, and it's twirly. The shoes are positively Vegas-worthy, pure sparkle. There's borrowed bling and bling that's all her own. And it keeps fully in line with the right strategy: nothing special for Hollywood, one is not a starlet. And yet I really wanted an honest-to-gawd hairdo for a change. Go ahead, fine, stick me in the pillory if you must! I wanted something show-stopping. I tweeted that I knew I shouldn't get my hopes up, and I was right. But I'm always cheering for the greatest amount of fabulous humanly possible (especially when the Queen's earrings are involved!), that's just me. Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 3 - 9 July
Here's what Charlene wore from 3-9 July:
- Brunch the day after the wedding, 3 July. The Palace stated she'd be wearing a green strapless Armani Privé for the event...which this obviously isn't. Sad we didn't get to see her in green, but am loving the hair!
- At a function before the opening of the IOC session in South Africa, 5 July. This hair I am not loving. What's going on there?
- Lunch with the President of South Africa, 6 July. A much better use for this dress than last time!
- At their second South African wedding reception, 7 July. Seems quite appropriate for the location, but I'm not a fan of how the lower part of the skirt appears to be detachable.
- a) and b) With Archbishop Desmond Tutu, 8 July. Simple and smiling. A good way to end the week.

Week in Review: Princess Charlene, 26 June - 2 July
Here's what Charlene wore from 26 June - 2 July:
- Visiting Port Hercule in advance of the Jean-Michel Jarre concert, 28 June. The necklace is ridiculous. Naturally, I love it.
- At The Eagles concert for their wedding, 30 June. The shoes are ridiculous. Naturally, I love them.
- a) The civil wedding ceremony and b) the evening concert, 1 July. Yes, the palazzo pants would also fall under my category of ridiculousness. And naturally, I do not love them. Thankfully, they're so large you can barely detect what's really going on.
- The religious wedding, 2 July. Now, this is bliss. Not a smacking of ridiculous to be had.
- The evening ball, 2 July. Just okay for me, this one. Not bad at all, but not destined to hold a place in my memory.

Week in Review: Princess Máxima, 26 June - 2 July
Here's what Máxima wore from 26 June - 2 July:
WAIT - one more thing. Did you see Máxima's shoes at the wedding?
Lolz. What would we do without our Máx to give us a daily giggle?
Photos: Newscom/Getty Images/Daylife/Dutch Photo Press/Hola/Svenskdam
- Attending a conference for Importante, a project for female ambition, 28 June. Being married to the Prince of Orange and all, I'm really quite surprised she didn't go for orange in this like Mathilde did. But I'm glad, too, because I think I like the blue better.
- Arriving in Monaco, 1 July. Love. This. Perfect waist for Máx! I also think I saw some pics of her mucking about Monaco casually, but wouldn't you know, I can't find them now...alas.
- Attending the concert/reception before the religious wedding, 1 July. Greek goddess, or bathing beauty...your choice.
- At the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Monaco, 2 July. Classic Máxima.
- At the evening ball, 2 July. Classic again - it's all about the jewels, and you know what that means: gratuitous bling time!

Week in Review: Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, 26 June - 2 July
Here's what Maria Teresa wore from 26 June - 2 July:
And second, I finally found a decent picture of Maria Teresa's jewels from the evening wedding ball!
Grand Duchess Marie Adelaide's tiara, sapphire and diamond earrings, a diamond brooch, and a sapphire and diamond necklace that can also be converted to a tiara. She has been added to the mass tiara festival post from that evening (as have the other two ladies I was missing, so go check it out again).
Photos: Wort/Cour gr ducale/Newscom/Belga/Bekia
- Family photocall, 27 June.
- Audience and a hospital visit, 29 July. Instant reminders of Máxima's comical red and white check outfit, no? Except I think MT did it better.
- Attending the Prince and Princess of Monaco's wedding, 2 July.
- At the evening ball, 2 July....not the best evening wear choice for our Grand Duchess.

Week in Review: Princess Mathilde, 26 June - 2 July
Here's what Mathilde wore from 26 June - 2 July:
1. Laying a wreath at the Battle of the Bulge Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery during the economic mission to the U.S., 26 June. What a pretty outfit. Shame about that dish sponge on her head.
2. Visiting the Whittal Pavilion at the Library of Congress, 27 June, a) on Mathilde and b) from Natan. I am required to like this, due to the Fifties flair going on here. We all have our weaknesses, and this is one of mine.
3. At the Flemish League Against Cancer, 30 June, a) full view and b) the top. Oh, no, thankfully I am not required to like this. Massive Natan fail, so shapeless!
4. Arriving in Monaco, 1 July. I think we need more Mathilde in sunglasses. It's sort of...dare I say it...bad ass. (Now there's a way to describe Mathilde that I never thought I'd use.)
5. Attending the concert/reception before the religious wedding, 1 July. Still a Christmas tree, still ruining whatever bad ass cred she just obtained.
6. At the wedding of the Prince and Princess of Monaco, 2 July, a) on Mathilde, and b) the style from Armani Privé.
7. At the evening ball, 2 July. I'd say getting the wedding gown designer to do you up a few pieces for the occasion is a pretty smart move indeed, wouldn't you?
Also, Mathilde did her piece to keep hold of her title of Blingiest Wedding Guest, which we can all appreciate.
Her brooch for the wedding belongs (or belonged, perhaps it was a gift) to Queen Fabiola, and in addition to her standard laurel wreath tiara, she seems to have brought a new necklace to the evening festivities. A+ for magpie effort indeed, especially considering she could have gotten away without a necklace on a gown like that!

Here's what Princess Madeleine wore from 26 June - 2 July:
- a) Attending the Prince and Princess of Monaco's wedding, 2 July, with b) one major feather.
- a) At the evening ball, 2 July, and b) gratuitous bling. Probably didn't need the choker with all the dress and hair fluff, but you can't fault a girl for opting for more.
